Developing 21st century Teaching and Learning in the classroom and at whole school level to meet the new Ofsted criteria

Focused workshops that will address the new Ofsted criteria and help you deliver school improvement. The workshops delivered by School Improvement Partner, Advanced Skills Teacher and former Headteacher Jackie Beere OBE will address:

• How to demonstrate 'learning progress' in lessons and at whole school level
• How to use assessment AS learning in the classroom to make an impact on results
• How to develop a skills based curriculum using the PLTs (personal, learning and thinking skills)
• How to develop the pedagogy that will deliver high quality learning to learn that will improve your value added score

Workshops will take place at 19 Buckingham Road, London WC2N 6EF on

Developing a competency curriculum that embeds the PLTs and creates independent learners for life
• How the PLTs can raise your value added scores and create resilient, independent learners
• Creating cross curricular KS3 projects that deliver the skills and motivate learners
• Embed the skills across all subjects and year groups for maximum impact
• Empowering all teachers to deliver the skills with confidence
• Connecting parents and home learning to the PLTS

Take back to school a huge range of resources and ideas for implementing the PLTs

Raising the bar - how to achieve 'outstanding' teaching and learning in your school
'the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom is the driver of new Ofsted judgements' HMI
• The Ofsted focus on learning progress in the classroom
• How to deliver the 'Perfect' Ofsted lesson
• The power of assessment AS learning and how to make it work in the classroom
• Developing independent learning in the classroom that develops personal, learning and thinking skills
• Observing lessons to develop best practice
• Supporting staff to improve their pedagogy and learning progress
You will be able to take a range of tools and resources back to school to help train staff.
