Growing strong- campaign from NCH

Parents are often putting their children's academic performance above their happiness and are ill equipped to cope with their emotional problems, warns the charity NCH, which has launched a campaign, called Growing Strong, to highlight the impact emotional wellbeing has on the lives and futures of children and young people.

Clare Tickell, Chief Executive of NCH, said that policies on poverty, social exclusion, education and health 'will be fatally undermined if the chronic lack of provision for the emotional needs of children is not assessed'.
