Tales from the Tuckshop – Healthy Schools News

The Departments of Health and Education and Skills have announced a slightly increased budget for the National Healthy Schools Programme in 2007-8, which means that all local healthy schools programmes will receive at least the same amount of Standards Fund as the present year, and many will get an increase.

Following two national Healthy Schools conferences in London and Leeds at the end of February there will be a one day training course on Physical Activity in each of the nine English regions during March and April, at which the new Physical Activity Toolkit will be launched. Places at the training days are only available through local healthy schools programme coordinators.
