PSHE in the QCA curriculum review

31 January 2007

QCA has been reviewing the curriculum for stages 3 and 4 curriculum as part of a comprehensive 11-19 reform programme that followed the publication of the 14-19 Education and Skills White Paper in February 2005.

The review aims to increase flexibility and ensure smooth transition between key stages and includes the PSHE frameworks for key stages 3 and 4 and guidance on personal development in the curriculum.

You will have the opportunity to comment on the proposals when a 12-week consultation period begins on 5 February 2007.

Watch this space for ways of contributing to the consultation both individually and through the PSHE Subject Association.
