TACADE-Free Training Dissemination Seminars on Gambling Education for Young People

Tacade is holding regional launch seminars for Education Advisers, Advisory Teachers, Healthy Schools Co-ordinators, Principal Youth Officers, Youth Service Managers and other professionals working with young people.

The events will be held at the following venues:
20 September 2007 -  2pm till 4pm at the Paramount Angel Hotel, Foxhunters Suite, Castle Street, Cardiff
8 November 2007 - 2pm till 4pm at Paramount Carlton Hotel, Cromarty Suite, North Bridge, Edinburgh

Professor Mark Griffiths from Nottingham Trent University will provide information about young people and gambling. Martin Buczkiewicz, Tacade Chief Executive, will introduce two new gambling education resources for young people:'You Bet! Gambling education materials for young people aged 11 - 16 years'aimed at Secondary Schools and 'Just Another Game? Gambling Education Materials for young People Aged 13 - 19 years' aimed at the informal youth settings.

Each participant will receive FREE copies of both resources.

Seminars are also taking place in Manchester, Birmingham, Exeter, Newcastle, Leeds and Southampton
