Lions Clubs acquire marketing and distribution rights for Tacade resources.

20 June 2012
Lions International released the following statement to announce their acquisition of rights to distribute and market Tacade resources:

Part of the ethos of Lions International (Lions Clubs) is to promote Life Skills, including Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE education) in our schools and communities. Following the unfortunate voluntary liquidation of Tacade - our partners of 27 years - earlier this year we are delighted to tell you that we have now acquired their stock, brand name and intellectual property and all the Tacade Resources will continue to be available to you very shortly.

We will do this through the formation of our new company, Lions MD 105 Life Skills Ltd.

Once the new ordering system is organized we will send you further information. For the moment though we would like you to know that the strong support that has always been available to you in the past from Lions will continue more strongly than ever. Please remember that our individual Lions Clubs are generally pleased to provide support with resources for schools-just contact your local Lions Club or email me (dajskinner@hotmail.com) of the requirement and I will put you in contact with your local Lions Club.

Please note that if you had outstanding orders placed with Tacade these are currently being validated and will be supplied shortly subject to stock availability.

One of the big advantages of our acquisition is that it puts us in touch with our international organisation- Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) - with its large potential for development. This will allow us to adopt a policy of continuing improvement and our management Committee will include UK teachers from both primary and secondary schools.

It is our intention to reprint existing resources and produce new ones in the future and we hope to have the new secondary school anti-smoking resource ‘UP IN SMOKE’ available later on in the year.

We hope that you will be encouraged by these new developments and we look forward to working with you in the future.
