Using social media in schools

31 July 2012
Matt Britland is head of ICT at Kingston Grammar School and will have responsibility for teaching elements of PSHE education in the new school year.

He blogs regularly for The Guardian and has recently written a very useful piece about the benefits of using social media in schools including best practice examples.

Last year's Tweeting for Teachers report also has some good advice on this topic.

We really see potential in using this technology in a PSHE education context and look forward to how teachers such as Matt and others can take this forward.

Are you a teacher already using social media in this way? Or are you interested in doing so? We'd love to hear from you so email us or better still contact us through Twitter: @PSHEassociation
