Workshops for professionals

The central philosophy of the training lies in the following therapeutic equation:

Exploration   +   Insight   +   Practice   =  Ability

Exploration- gives us a chance to have an understanding of where we are and means we will be better equipped to understand and support a young person in their world.

Insight- we become consciously aware of what we are doing and note how we may limit or sabotage our work, or highlight successful strategies in support of working with young people

Practice- a chance to reflect on our practice and be better equipped for the application of new skills for appropriate responses, containment and healthier communication with young people

Ability - a cognitive understanding gives us the tools and strategies to promote helpful choices, which increases our emotional resilience.

Recent participants have fed-back:

"relevant, fun, thought-provoking and well-informed"
"I will be able to go back and use the techniques learned"
"I learnt to think of alternative ways of coping with the situation..
"

A creative and therapeutic workshop that explores the difference between the psychological aspects of an eating disorder and the pressure of social constructs that influence disordered eating. Suitable for teachers, health professionals, social services, CAMHS, PSHE and counselling services.

Tools for Life- 1 day

This is an enjoyable, interactive workshop for professionals, who can then take new and empowering ideas back to the young people they work with. The workshop is designed to enable young people to experience and embrace emotional health and wellbeing in their worlds. The day will facilitate the cognitive understanding of strategies to promote helpful choices in life situations. We will be exploring both internal and psychosocial systems of support.

Developing our Emotional Intelligence through awareness of Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication.

How we psychologically and physically position ourselves in relation to other people determines how they will respond to us.

The aim of the Workshop is to enable the participants to explore their patterns of relating and find new ways of connecting and responding to others. Having awareness of these patterns can uncover what a person may unconsciously be setting up.
