Youth Alcohol Action Plan- NCB (pdf) June 2008
The publication of a strategy to tackle excessive alcohol consumption among young people was one of a number of commitments set out in the Department for Children, Schools and Families’ Children’s Plan. The resulting action plan sets out the Government’s current policy in this area, and draws on recent evidence to put forward a case for changing, or enhancing, its approach.

Mentoring, Befriending and Drugs: Advice for mentors and befrienders
New guidance has been produced by FRANK in partnership with the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation. The guide is an introduction to drugs and the issues affecting young people. It contains advice about talking about drugs with young people; drug facts, risks and the law; and what to do if there's a problem. ( April 2008)


Drug Use, Smoking, and Drinking amongst Young People in England in 2007 -Drug Education Forum
This is a précis of the annual survey carried out for the government of pupils aged 11 to 15 years in 2007. It has been produced by the Drug Education Forum, the umbrella body for national organisations committed to improving the effectiveness and profile of drug education in England.
