The government launched a consultation document for children and young people, and all those who work with them and look after them, on safety. The consultation is open until 31 October. The document, and response forms, can be found here http://www.dfes.gov.uk/consultations/

Children's Safety Education Foundation (CSEF)
To ensure preventative safety education is delivered to every child in the United Kingdom

Child Accident Prevention Trust
A national charity committed to reducing the number of children and young people who are killed, disabled or seriously injured as a result of accidents.

IMPS- Injury Minimization Programme for Schools
Taught within both school and hospital environments. Key aspect of the programme is an experiential learning approach which links accident prevention to the school curriculum. Focus is on 10-11 years olds.

St John Ambulance are committed to training young people in first aid. They work with teachers, youth leaders, schools, PRUs and LEAs.

Better Safe than Sorry- Preventing Unintentional Injury to Children- Unintentional injury is a leading cause of death and illness among children. This joint report with the Healthcare and Audit Commissions examines the subject. 

Life. Live it. A campaign from British Red Cross.
The campaign aims to promote first aid knowledge and skills among young people, and calls on the government to increase first aid education in schools.
