Sex & relationships education

Are you getting it right? A toolkit for consulting young people on sex and relationships education
An SRE audit ‘toolkit’, has been developed by the Sex Education Forum, to help schools canvas young people’s opinions on what they think they should learn about at various ages. They will also be asked how and by whom they think their SRE should be delivered – with choices ranging from their teacher or peer educators to outside experts.(Feb 2008)

Faith, Values and Sex & Relationships Education
This book outlines approaches and strategies for developing effective sex and relationships education policy and practice in a multi-faith and multi-cultural society. Aimed at teachers and all those who support teachers, including LEA Advisory Teachers and Local Healthy School Coordinators, the resource will also be useful for educators in other settings, including the youth service and pupil referral units.

Sex, Alcohol and Other Drugs: Exploring the links in young people’s lives
For many young people, sexual activity and the use of alcohol and other drugs are entwined, while the support and education we offer them often treats these issues in isolation. Drawing heavily on the perspectives of young people, professionals and research, this book provides a much needed foundation for developing policy and practice that is relevant to young people’s lives.
