Summary: Launching our resource for those new to PSHE education
Description: If you are new to PSHE education the programme assumes no prior
knowledge of our subject. If you are an experienced practioner or
co-ordinator the programme may help you create your own in-house
development activities for your colleagues.
Each unit contains supporting text and includes documents to share with
colleagues and practical tools that will help you undertake improvement
activities in your school. We hope these will be of value to everyone.
Unit 1 - What is personal, social, health and economic education?
available below with supporting documents - introduces PSHE
education and explores its relationship to the wider curriculum.
The 10 Units, released one each month will explore issues of assessment,
policy writing, creating schemes of work, sex and relationships, using
visitors in the classroom and lots more. We hope you will find the programme
stimulating and the tools practical and helpful.
We are delighted to offer this resource completely free to individual or organisational members of the Association. If you're not already a paid member, please see the many benefits of membership for a small annual fee, and sign up here (trainee teacher and NQT membership only £15 per annum)
