Our suite of CPD training days — updated termly — gives you the support you need to plan, coordinate and assess your PSHE programme, prepare for school inspections and more.
If we aren’t running training in your region this term, you might like to consider our school-based training offer — ideal for school network groups, academy trusts, or schools in the same local area. You can either use one of the existing courses as the basis for your session, or we can work in consultation with you to design an INSET training session of any length, that meets your specific needs.
Our January – July 2020 CPD programme covers all you will need to know to ensure your school is ready for the new statutory requirements.
Our CPD will help you to:
- Prepare for statutory RSE, Relationships Education and Health Education
- Get ready for Ofsted and ISI
- Effectively lead, plan and deliver PSHE in your school
Understanding PSHE (An introduction to best practice) – KS1-KS4
This course is perfect or anyone new to PSHE education, or even those who have been teaching it for a while but not had any training. This course lays the foundations and takes you from the very basics to exploring best practice and planning an effective lesson.
NEW: Preparing for statutory relationships education within primary PSHE
Due to popular demand we will be running this course again in March. This course will help you to evaluate your current provision in preparation for the new statutory requirements. It will focus on safe and effective planning, delivery and assessment of statutory Relationships Education (and sex education) as part of the PSHE curriculum.
Video: What our delegates said...
The course facilitator had huge subject knowledge and all their passion for PSHE is so clear to see. I’ve gained so much information!
Learning the specific RSE requirements has provided greater clarity and minimised feelings of rising panic! I now feel equipped with a practical way forward — with appropriate support clearly signposted.
As always, PSHE Association courses supply resources to help implement best practice back at school following the course.
I have learnt so much about PSHE which will benefit the school and our students.
