Our suite of CPD training days — updated termly — gives you the support you need to plan, coordinate and assess your PSHE programme, prepare for school inspections and more.
If we aren’t running training in your region this term, you might like to consider our school-based training offer — ideal for school network groups, academy trusts, or schools in the same local area. You can either use one of the existing courses as the basis for your session, or we can work in consultation with you to design an INSET training session of any length, that meets your specific needs.
Sign up to our mailing list and be sure to check for new programme releases; we we might be running training in your area next term.
Get ready for statutory health education!
(Covering mental & physical health in PSHE)
This is a new course that we’re running for both primary and secondary settings — to support colleagues who will be expected to cover these statutory aspects of PSHE education from September 2020. The course will help you to:
- Understand the importance of integrating health and wellbeing into a wider PSHE curriculum.
- Increase your confidence in teaching about and promoting mental health and emotional wellbeing within PSHE education.
- Develop and deliver age and stage appropriate lessons on a range of mental health issues such as managing strong feelings and stress.
- Explore a range of resources and activities you could use at school including our DfE funded mental health guidance and lesson plans.
Video: What our delegates said...
The course facilitator had huge subject knowledge and all their passion for PSHE is so clear to see. I’ve gained so much information!
Learning the specific RSE requirements has provided greater clarity and minimised feelings of rising panic! I now feel equipped with a practical way forward — with appropriate support clearly signposted.
As always, PSHE Association courses supply resources to help implement best practice back at school following the course.
I have learnt so much about PSHE which will benefit the school and our students.
