Course overview:

With recent reports highlighting the need for greater learning about this important topic, this workshop will explore the role PSHE education can play in addressing sexual harassment in schools, including the foundational learning required in key stage 1-2. It will also explore how the topic can be sequenced effectively throughout a PSHE education curriculum, how this teaching fits within a whole school approach, and how to best provide evidence of the school’s response. This workshop will support you in developing the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to safely, effectively and confidently teach this essential aspect of the PSHE education curriculum.

This online course focuses on safe and effective planning, delivery and assessment of Relationships and Health education as part of the PSHE education curriculum.

Course overview:

Relationships education and Health Education are now statutory requirements in all primary schools. Primary schools are also encouraged to deliver Sex education aspects of Relationships & Sex Education (RSE) to support the safeguarding of pupils. This interactive online course will support you to plan and deliver high quality inclusive RSE and Health Education within the context of a broader PSHE education curriculum. You will also explore the interrelationship between RSE, Health Education and broader PSHE education; policy writing; and parental engagement.

This interactive online workshop will explore how to safely and effectively teach about maintaining a healthy lifestyle at key stage 1-2.

Course overview:

With rising concerns about children’s health-related behaviours, healthy lifestyles has now become statutory as a part of Health education. This topic promotes pupils’ physical and emotional wellbeing through the development of healthy lifestyles, including those relating to food choices and physical activity. However, it can be very sensitive and needs to be handled with care, in order to encourage healthy behaviours and ensure a positive impact on children’s wellbeing.
