Growing careers for positive change — KS3-4 home learning lessons

Growing careers for positive change — KS3-4 home learning lessons

These home-learning lessons help students to consider how their values can inform their career choices in order to make a difference to their local and global community, and how holding and acting upon these values can affect wellbeing. The lessons emphasise the link with environmental issues and sustainability, highlighting that the career we choose is one way to make a difference about issues we care about.

Adapted for home-learning with the kind permission of the Environment Agency, these new home learning lessons on personal values and career choices will help key stage 3 and 4 pupils to:

  • explore their values and how these relate to planning career pathways
  • set goals based on their personal values
  • identify organisations for employment that align with personal values

This pack forms part of our range of materials to support pupils learning at home during the coronavirus school closures. Visit www.pshe-association.org.uk/C-HUB for more lessons and guidance.

Teachers delivering this topic in a school setting should continue to use our standard lessons.
