Keys to Happier Living for primary schools
This resource for Primary Schools has been produced by Action for Happiness and is designed to support and develop children’s emotional and mental wellbeing, character and resilience skills.
The resource consists of:
- A resource for Teachers: including teaching materials covering an initial assembly and 11 subsequent lessons, with extensive downloadable resources and additional ideas for ongoing reinforcement
- A Journal for Children: each child receives their own journal to help embed learning
- Journal for Adults: staff are encouraged to embed the ideas in their own lives too
- Information Leaflet: leaflet for parents and carers about the Keys to Happier Living
The PSHE Association’s Subject Specialist Karen Summers says:
“The resource provides a wide variety of stimulating and creative ideas for developing skills that support happier living and wellbeing into the lives of pupils and parents/carers.
Lessons are cross-referenced with the PSHE Association Programme of Study at Key Stage 2 to enable teachers to incorporate the materials into their school’s PSHE provision.
This resource makes a valuable contribution to the development and enhancement of the attributes and skills pupils need in order to be resilient and effective learners.”
