'Staying friends' — KS2 relationships home learning lesson

This PowerPoint-based home learning lesson focuses on friendship and highlights that even in good friendships, friends can still argue or ‘fall out’, and problems can sometimes arise. This lesson — adapted especially for current circumstances where children may be seeing their friends less in-person or spending more time with siblings — helps pupils explore how to manage these situations positively.

The lesson will help pupils to:

  • identify different types of friendship and what makes a good friend
  • recognise why friendship is important
  • describe strategies for solving arguments between friends
  • explain how to maintain good friendships, even when problems arise

This lessons form part of our range of materials to support pupils learning at home during the coronavirus school closures. Visit www.pshe-association.org.uk/C-HUB for more lessons and guidance.
