The LGBT Consortium was one of 6 initiatives commissioned by the Government Equalities Office (then part of the Department for Education) in 2018 to support its anti-homophobic, biphobic and transphobic (HBT) bullying project. Its overall purpose was to reduce the incidence of HBT bullying in primary and secondary schools in England by supporting schools to prevent and respond to the issue. .

"I have had quite a bit of feedback from staff who attended – all of it very positive. They found the training excellent and trainers positive, encouraging and inspiring."
"Really pleased we participated in the sessions and accessed the resources and materials. We feel much more confident as a staff now. Thank you!"
"The trainer was passionate about the training and very informative. She was open and honest which made us all feel very comfortable about sharing experiences."
