Guidance for Schools
The police are keen to identify how they can work most effectively with schools to tackle a range of pressing issues facing young people today. Schools are similarly keen to work with the police and value the contribution they can make to PSHE education. Both police and schools recognise that this relationship needs to be meaningful, with long term benefits for young people and society. However, up to now there has been little guidance on how to make the most of police contributions and how to ensure they are effective and safe. To address this, the NPCC and PSHE Association have launched our new ‘Police in the Classroom’ handbook for police and schools.
