Implementing statutory Relationships Education and Health Education (KS1-2)

Relationships education and Health Education are now statutory requirements in all primary schools. Primary schools are also encouraged to deliver Sex education aspects of Relationships & Sex Education (RSE) to support the safeguarding of pupils. This interactive online course will support the planning and delivery of high quality inclusive RSE and Health Education within the context of a broader PSHE education curriculum. There will be an opportunity to explore the interrelationship between RSE, Health Education and broader PSHE education; policy considerations; and parental engagement.



Secondary

Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education are now statutory requirements in all secondary schools. This interactive online course will support the planning and delivery of high quality, inclusive RSE and Health Education within the context of a broader PSHE education curriculum. There will be an opportunity to explore areas such as best practice in planning, teaching and assessing high quality, inclusive RSE and Health Education; the interrelationship between RSE, Health Education and broader PSHE education; policy considerations; and parental engagement.

 


Price guide

Prices for a half day standard session (from the options above) start from £975.00. This is a cost-effective solution for school groups as the fee can be shared between schools attending.

Schools signing up for these sessions must all be PSHE Association members as the training uses member resources which are only accessible via a current membership. Membership also include access to our full range of resources and training plus email and one-to-one support from subject specialists.

If all schools attending do not have current membership, we can easily include the £125 school membership fee with the cost of the training when invoicing.

 


Online training — register your interest

A Subject Specialist will run the training and IT support will be provided during the session by a member of our events team. A week before the training, we'll share a link to complete a registration form with the lead contact, to be sent out to all participants.

Prior to attending the session, delegates will need to follow the link and complete the registration form. Once the form is completed, they will be receive a separate, unique link to join the training. This link will also be emailed to delegates in a confirmation email from Zoom, but we would recommend saving the link privately in order to be ready to join the session. Delegates will receive a copy of the training slides after the session as well as a copy of the links shared in the chat during the session.

Training can be scheduled for the morning or afternoon. Morning sessions run from 9.30 – 12.30 with an opportunity for two breaks. Afternoon sessions run from 13.30 – 16.30 with an opportunity for two breaks.
