Lisa qualified as a teacher in 1993. She started working as a PE teacher across a range of sectors but specializing in A level and GCSE PE with a particular focus on Sports Psychology and Anatomy and Physiology. In 1998 she moved into pastoral care working as a Houseparent for teenage boys for 10 years before taking a new post as Head of Department for PSHE education in 2009. She has remained committed to PSHE education ever since, and in recent years has trained as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor working to improve awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental illness.
Lisa is presently working on the PSHE Association’s Police in the Classroom Project as a trainer.
Beyond work, Lisa spends as much time as she can enjoying the beaches in Devon, Cornwall and on Hayling Island with her two teenage sons.
